The Goaty Gang: Meet Our Boer Cross Herd (and Say Hello to Sugar Bear!)
Hey there, Bloom & Barn family! Kelley here, and while our chickens might get a lot of the spotlight, today I want to introduce you to another beloved (and incredibly charismatic!) part of our farm: our wonderful Boer cross goat herd!
These aren't just any goats; they're vital members of our sustainable farm ecosystem. Our Boer crosses are known for their strong build, friendly personalities, and incredible ability to clear brush and manage pastures naturally. They're like living, breathing weed whackers, helping us keep our land healthy and thriving. Plus, they're endlessly entertaining with their playful antics and curious natures!
Each goat has their own unique personality, from the mischievous youngsters to the wise old matriarchs. They love to explore, climb, and, of course, nibble on anything green. Watching them interact is a daily dose of farm joy, and they're always ready to greet you with a bleat and a hopeful look for a scratch behind the ears.
Speaking of new additions, we're absolutely thrilled to introduce the newest (and possibly sweetest) member of our herd: Sugar Bear! This little one has quickly melted our hearts with her adorable hops, soft bleats, and undeniable charm. She's full of spunk and curiosity, already exploring her new home and making friends with the rest of the gang. Sugar Bear is a wonderful reminder of the constant cycle of new life and growth here at Kelley's Bloom & Barn.
